Learn About the Tom’s Co-op

The Beginning

Tom & Bonnie operated their natural food shop in Clinton for almost fifty years. Locals grew up scooping bulk staples from their signature bins and mason jars and snacking on fruit leathers while walking down Park Row.

More than a community food shop, Tom’s has always been a place to connect with our neighbors and support our local farmers. So when Tom and Bonnie retired, local farmers stepped in.

The Farmers

A new group of owners with deep roots in the local agriculture scene decided to keep the Tom’s Natural Foods legacy alive— but after a couple of years of running the retail space, they knew there had to be a better way.

Other communities had found a successful model for serving both farmers and community members with fresh food at fair prices.

It was time to make Tom’s into a co-op.
