A food co-op is a grocery store owned by folks in their community (and by you, if you choose).
Unlike corporate chains, food co-ops are totally independent and owned by the community members who shop there. So instead of focusing on investors, food co-ops focus on their community — nourishing everyone according to their budget and cooking style.
Co-op grocery stores are the place to find the best local food, because they know their local farmers and family business owners by name. And food co-ops are passionate about giving back to their communities. They believe that good food is just the beginning of what people can achieve by working together.

While this co-op is run and made possible by our member-owners, we’re open to everybody! Stop by during shop hours to say hi and pick up farm fresh food, bulk spices, and other local products at co-op prices.

You don’t need lots of money or time to support your local farms and food systems. Any and all of these things help us to serve the community with healthy local food and affordable staples:
Shop at Tom’s!
Spread the word about our hours and new location with friends and on social media
Subscribe to our free newsletter for updates on new products and hours
Consider working a volunteer shift! Just 4-6 hours of volunteering a year from each member keeps us open and thriving.

Membership IS ownership, and joining the Co-op makes you both a member and an owner. Members in the co-op are each issued one common share in the corporation. Members have one vote and may be eligible for use-based dividends. Membership is $100, and you can sign up here.
-
Members who wish to buy shares in the cooperative may purchase these for $1000 for one share (purchasing multiple shares is possible). These investments are critical to our operations. You can buy a share here.
-
Donations are just that, donations. If you want to support the co-op project with a one-time donation, you can do so here.
Tom’s is a not-for profit company but does not have 501(c)3 status, so donations to Tom’s are not tax deductible. Donations are gratefully accepted, but are not tied to membership or investment.
